October Fest!


October Fest at the Moncks Corner Library 
October 8 - 10
Adults will be entered in a drawing for a grand prize when they check out 3 or more books or audiobooks
Thursday @ 11 am — The Hunt is on! Kids have a chance to win prizes hidden around the library
Friday @ 8 pm — Movie Under the Stars. Free showing of The Fault in Our Stars outside (weather permitting)

Free Workshop! Saturday, October 11 from 9:30 am -11: 30 am at the Goose Creek Library. Registration is recommended. To reserve your spot, stop by the main desk in the library or call 843-572-1376.

Free Workkeys & GED classes online for those who qualify!


Requirements to Participate

Ages: 17-21

        not enrolled in high school
       *must bring official high school transcript
and
        Verification of Withdrawal from South Carolina Schools form



Ages: 22 and older who need to:

Earn a GED Study for the WorkKeys®
    
Improve reading skills only

Improve writing skills only

Improve math skills only

Improve their basic skills (reading, writing, and math)
    
Become more competitive in today’s labor market


Call Adult Education 899-8597  to sign up for a registration session on one of the following dates:                June 6th, 7th, 13th or 14th.

Sessions begin at 9:30 a.m. (lasts 2 hours)
at Berkeley County Library-Moncks Corner 
1003 Highway 52.

Class Begins:On Registration Session Date assigned


This is your time to earn your GED or make the scores you need on the WorkKeys® Assessment and/or COMPASS while improving your basic skills in reading, writing, and/or math, all at no cost!

The Worldwide Interactive Network(WIN) courseware prepares you for these assessments. Classes consist of 30-40 hours of distance learning (online study). You should complete 5-10 hours per week using Berkeley County Library computers or other computers with internet access, (e.g. home, family member, Adult Education Center…).
